As an Earth Observations Manager, you will contribute to the development and application of geospatial analyses and methodologies for nature-based solutions and climate-related projects. You will support the generation of high-quality, data-driven insights to inform environmental decision-making.
Key Responsibilites:
You will:
- Conduct geospatial analysis and modeling to assess environmental patterns, land use, and climate-related risks
- Apply and support carbon methodologies (e.g., ARR, REDD+, sustainable land management) in project development and assessment
- Develop and implement automated geospatial workflows using Python, R, or Google Earth Engine
- Produce high-quality maps, visualizations, and technical outputs to support internal and external decision-making
- Perform eligibility, risk, and vulnerability assessments for nature-based and climate projects
- Support biomass estimation and carbon accounting using remote sensing data
- Analyze ecosystem and biodiversity metrics, including habitat condition, fragmentation, and carbon sequestration
- Contribute to the development and maintenance of geospatial databases and analytical tools
- Provide technical input to proposals, reports, and research applications
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to design, implement, and improve geospatial methodologies and project approaches
